When I'm in your arms, I'm safe.
I don't care what anyone says.
Why listen to them?
They're jealous of what we have.
All I know is that I want
To spend forever in your arms.
Knowing that I'm not alone,
I can stand and face the world.
Friends and family have their place,
But you can't only have them.
To fully live, we must know love
And what comes with it:
Responsibility for another,
Care and feelings changed,
Openness about everything.
Accountable because we want to be
And not because we have to be.
To share and love, weep and smile.
Everything multiplied and grown
To a size immensely scaring.
We don't know what will happen.
But for now, we are brought together,
Unregretting what we chose.
We walk the skies in the knowledge
That if one falls, the other will catch.
It is not blind to the world around.
We see clearly the imperfections.
But they do not bother us as once they might.
Looking deeper, one can see a true heart.
Really, isn't that what matters?
